DRAFT MINUTES OF JULY BAIRNSTRUST MEETING

1. Apologies

Apologies were received from Fergus Caldwell, Kirstie Adam and Jean Croft.

2. Additional Item

Members agreed to take an additional item -Bairnstrust Office Bearers at no. 7

3. Video Update

Brian gave an update on the video and thought a target launch date of August 14th was realistic. There had been several enquiries and the delays had been caused by difficulties with sponsorship and licensing.Sales from tables in the stadium could be possible and from Morrison's supermarket.

4. Meeting with the Club

The meeting was to focus on ways forward and would include discussion of the following:-

a. Mutual expectations
b. Sponsorship and Marketing
c. Staff relationships
d. Communicatios
e. Access to shop for Trust merchandise
f. Programme page
g. Trust events

5. Board Report

Bill Anderson reported on the last Board meeting and answered questions. The matters under discussion had included Fit Out progress, North Stand discussion and new appointments in George Craig and Roger Crosthwaite.
Transfer monies had now been received and arrangements for the Opening Match were outlined.Car parking would be free of charge. There had been no commercial interest in providing a Sportsmans' Bar.

6. Fans' Rally

It was agreed to postpone the large fans rally, until there was more definite news on the North Stand progress. The preliminary meeting of supporter groups was reported on , and the need to continue these meetings was agreed.All groups had a role to play and the support of Falkirk F.C. was the crucial thing.It was also agreed to try to see if the Federation could be reconstituted.

7. BairnsTrust Office Bearers

There were two vacancies on the Trust Board and nominations were sought.
The following were elected:

a. Chairman-Stephen Bird (proposed Brian Guthrie, seconded Wayne Toft.)
b. Vice Chairman-Bill Anderson (proposed Stewart Wilson, seconded Jim Jamieson)
c. Co-opted Members- Stevie Jackson and Tom Jamieson
d. Minute Secretary-Stevie Jackson (proposed Murray McIntyre, seconded Jack Webster)
e. Treasurer-Fergus Caldwell (proposed Stephen Bird, seconded Brian Guthrie)

8. Next Meeting

Monday August 16th. at 7.30pm in the stadium or other venue(to be announced)

Stephen Bird thanked Michael White for his work with the Trust, both in Falkirk and nationally.
