Letter to Falkirk FC regarding lack of covered terracing at Ochilview

Terracing at Ochilview

I have been asked to write to you on behalf of BairnsTrust regarding the terracing arrangements currently in place at Ochilview.

Those purchasing season tickets for this area did so on the understanding that the home terracing was to be covered by mid to late October as was indicated at the time of season ticket sales.

There is now a great deal of concern regarding the lack of cover not only from season ticket holders but also from those who pay at the gate, and who may be less likely to attend in future due to the lack of shelter.

We are under the impression that the hold up is now due to Stenhousemuir although no official statement to this effect has been forthcoming. A letter has already been issued to them asking for their comments.

We also feel very strongly however that as Falkirk sold season tickets on the assumption of a cover on the terracing they have a very definate obligation to the fans in this matter.

We would appreciate your advices as to what steps the club are currently taking to assure an early resolution to this matter.
