FFC Response - Covered Terracing

The following reply has been received from Campbell Christie in response to BairnsTrust's letter of the 11th December

TERRACING AT OCHILVIEW

Thank you for your letter regarding the covered terracing.

Stenhousemuir promised us in July that the cover would be erected in October 2003. They were given the cover from the Brockville enclosure by Falkirk.

They applied for, and were granted, planning permission to erect the cover. The cost, I believe is in the region of £20,000. Stenhousemuir have applied to the council for the balance of the amount required to complete the job.

I believe that Falkirk has taken every reasonable step to progress this matter.

We have spent considerably more at Ochilview than we had budgeted for and do not wish to increase our financial outlay.

We regret that our fans have had to endure inclement weather conditions but we are not in a position to erect the cover at our own expense.
