Dear Member,
As you quoted an email address on your application, this is the
latest, electronic update of BairnsTrust activities.
You are cordially invited to attend the monthly BairnsTrust meeting
in the Players' Lounge at the Falkirk Community Stadium on Monday
19th December 2005, KO 7.30pm.
There will be a full agenda for discussion, but if you have any
concerns you wish to raise, please respond to either BairnsTrustWS@aol.com
or post your query on the message
board at our website and we will try to cover on the night.
Please note that the event may last up to 3 hours.
If you are unable to attend, the minutes from the meeting will
appear on our website 7-10 days later for your perusal.
The BairnsTrust Committee are pleased to announce that the previous
difficulties logging onto our website were remedied shortly after
the last newsletter was issued. Please find all our information
at www.bairnstrust.com. The format and layout may be revamped
over the coming months, but already many of the sections have
been brought right up to date, so worth a visit.
We have received a belated reply on the Motherwell pricing situation
which has reluctantly been accepted and can be viewed here.
The Livingston Trust had shown
interest in our plight and have subsequently been advised: see
here.
Although we have also been approached
regarding the recent Rangers "banner display procession"
at Ibrox, Falkirk Football Club had also been inundated with similar
complaints and have contacted Rangers FC directly for an explanation.
All parties eagerly await the response!
We were grateful to George Craig for attending our last meeting
to give an update on the above on behalf of the club.
The Andy Lawrie Testimonial Committee met at the end of November
and numerous plans are now being worked upon which BairnsTrust
members are helping with.
A reminder that if you wish to stand for election to the BairnsTrust
Committee for next year, again respond by one of the methods below.
Formal documents will be being posted to you over the festive
period for consideration.
The Flash Harry Tribute to Queen, held on Thu 01/12/05 at Best
Western Park Hotel, proved to be another successful night. The
raffle and auction boosted profits for BairnsAid with BairnsTrust
helping out on the night. The band belted out 30+ hits and were
of an exceptional quality, even agreeing to pose for photographs
and sign autographs well into the early hours. Merchandise was
donated to BairnsTrust that will be auctioned/raffled at a future
event. Feel free to visit the band's website for further details
www.flash-harry.co.uk.
The Tour of the Falkirk Stadium
on 6th & 7th December was equally well received. Four of the
six tours were sold out and favourable comments have been received
on each of the historical picture section, Referee's forum and
inevitably "Yogi's Teamtalk"! The Committee are pleased
to announce over £800 was made and subsequently redoing
again before the end of the season is being discussed.
Tickets for our the finale to the Social Night calendar can be
ordered/purchased at the our stall. Details of which are:
BairnsTrust Christmas Dinner Dance & Cabaret, Fri 30/12/05,
7 for 7.30pm @ Grangemouth Town Hall. £25.
For more details on each of the above and more, please visit:
www.falkirkfc.co.uk
Note: The home game on Saturday 17/12/05 v Kilmarnock may be your
last chance to purchase tickets in person as well as your last
minute stocking fillers!
If you would be willing to donate a raffle prize, please contact
the Trust by either method below to arrange uplift.
Look forward to seeing you at the monthly meeting as well as the
