Dear Member,
As you quoted an email address on your application, this is the
latest, electronic update of BairnsTrust activities.
You are cordially invited to attend the monthly BairnsTrust meeting,
this month in the Alex Parker Lounge at the Falkirk Community
Stadium on Monday 16th January 2005, KO 7.30pm.
There will be a full agenda for discussion, but if you have any
concerns you wish to raise, please respond to either BairnsTrustWS@aol.com
or post your query on the message
board at our website and we will try to cover on the night.
Please note that the event may last up to 3 hours.
If you are unable to attend, the minutes from the meeting will
appear on our website 7-10 days later for your perusal.
As mentioned last month, the Rangers "banner display procession"
at Ibrox caused great consternation and both BairnsTrust and Falkirk
Football Club were inundated with complaints and had contacted
Rangers FC directly for an explanation. To date BairnsTrust have
not received any response, but hope to have an update in time
for our monthly meeting!
The finale to the Social Night calendar the BairnsTrust Christmas
Dinner Dance & Cabaret was held on Fri 30/12/05 @ Grangemouth
Town Hall.
The Social Committee put in a lot of work arranging this and it
continued with their efforts on the night. However, there were
many who "called off" at the last minute with arrangements
and meals already catered for. This reduced the estimated funds
hoped for on the night, but with exceptional raffle ticket sales
and numerous auctioned items, a small profit was nevertheless
recorded.
Those in attendance enjoyed their festive 3-course-meal and the
"interesting" acts! The invoice for hiring the Grangemouth
Town Hall is being disputed due to the inadequate power supply,
which may "boost" the final profits.
The Committee have not rested and
the 2006 social events are being arranged. The first is a Beatles
Tribute Act Night on Friday 24/02/05. Watch out for the adverts
at The Falkirk Stadium soon!
You may also be interested to hear that Drew Norloch Ltd, having
witnessed the success of our recent BairnsTrust events, are now
advertising a couple of entertainment nights next month in the
Amarillo Bar Bistro/Brockville Lounge at the stadium.
Details on each of the above and more will eventually appear on
the both our and the club's website, Please click here
for more information.
The Andy Lawrie Testimonial Committee met again at the start of
the year and numerous plans are now being worked upon which BairnsTrust
members are helping with.
With the first trip this season to Tannadice Park this weekend,
BairnsTrust are looking forward to sampling the pre-match hospitality
offered by our colleagues of Dundee FC Supporters Trust ... Dee4Life.
This will give our Members and Committee a chance to compare and
contrast how another Trust is performing in a relaxed atmosphere.
As mentioned in BairnsTrust Electronic Newsletter #6, the deadline
for numbers has now passed and BairnsTrust have advised the Dee4Life
Trust accordingly of a healthy contingent of members making an
appearance on Sunday!
Late news: As a result of the numbers involved the venue has now
been changed to the Dundee Social Club, a short walk from both
Dens and Tannadice, rather than within the lounges at Dens Park.

If you wish to stand for election to the BairnsTrust Committee
for this year, nominations have to be with the Returning Officer
by Friday 20th January 2006. Formal documents were posted out
to you over the festive period for due consideration.
The Trust Committee Chairman and Secretary have been very busy
compiling this formal AGM notification and associated election
documents. Subsequently it is hoped to obtain a good response
from our membership.
Our AGM will coincide with the March monthly meeting on Monday
20th March 2006.
Finally, if you have any topics or articles you wish to be included
in future BairnsTrust Electronic Newsletters, please respond by
your preferred contact method below
Look forward to seeing you at the monthly meeting.
