Dear Member,
As you quoted an email address on your application, this is a
special edition of the electronic update of BairnsTrust activities.
You are cordially invited to attend the monthly BairnsTrust meeting
at the Falkirk Community Stadium on Monday 20th February 2006,
KO 7.30pm.
There will be a full agenda for discussion, but if you have any
concerns you wish to raise, please respond to either BairnsTrustWS@aol.com
or post your query on the message board at our website and we
will try to cover on the night.
Feel free to convene after the meeting in the Amarillo Bar Bistro.
If you are unable to attend, the minutes from the meeting will
appear on our website 7-10 days later for your perusal.
Many thanks to those members who helped with Falkirk Council's
Traffic Survey before the home Inverness CT fixture. The help
was greatly appreciated by both BairnsTrust and the Council.
For those who attended the Motherwell v Falkirk game on 17/09/05
and have been following the overpricing thread over the last few
Trust meetings, you may now be interested to hear that we have
gained a significant result! BairnsTrust's continued pressure
has reached Motherwell Chairman John Boyle and he has duly sanctioned
our next away fixture on 11/03/06 at Fir Park as one of their
club's "Charity Days", meaning ALL supporters will be
allowed entry for a predicted £8/£2 for ALL areas
of the ground, with ALL the gate receipts going to a local charity.
An excellent gesture for our campaigning efforts.
We now have a similar scenario as concern was raised that Dundee
United were also overcharging away supporters for similar seating
as home fans at our match on Sun 13/01/06. It was agreed that
the Trust would take this up and again a letter has been posted
with a reply eagerly awaited.
Those Trust members who managed to find the Dundee FC Social Club
during the first trip of the season to Tannadice Park, enjoyed
the pre-match hospitality offered by our colleagues of Dundee
FC Supporters Trust ... Dee4Life.

The Committee have not rested and the 2006 social events are being
arranged. The first is a Beatles Tribute Act Night on Friday 24/02/06.
The bright adverts now adorn the concourse at The Falkirk Stadium
and tickets are available from Committee Members.
The Trust were approached to hastily arrange a "Meet the
Manager Night" at the Stadium on Monday 06/02/06. This went
very smoothly and more than 40 questions were asked in the two
hours available ranging from the Duffy transfer, late substitutions,
rugby games at the stadium, manipulation by the Press, FFC's 5
year plan, Youth teams, Glennan transfer, Intertoto Cup, Physios,
new stands, atmosphere at games and a rousing speech by physcologist
Watt Nicol.
An added bonus from this session was the request for financial
assistance from the club for the buses making the trek to Dingwall.
This has since been gratefully ratified.
Another suggestion was the penning of a new club song/chant/anthem.
Any budding songwriters can contact BairnsTrust by any preferred
method below with their work.
Drew Norloch Ltd, having witnessed the success of our recent BairnsTrust
events, had their first entertainment night on Friday 10/02/06
in the Amarillo Bar Bistro/Brockville Lounge at the stadium. The
event was "sold out" and BairnsTrust have benefited
financially from the night.
Details on each of the above events and more will eventually appear
on the our, the club's and Drew Norloch's websites.
Alternatively, tickets can be ordered/purchased in person direct
from the venue or by telephoning 01324 673425. Details of which
are:
o 2nd Cabaret, Fri 10/03/06, 8pm @ Amarillo Bistro Bar/Brockville
Lounge. £25, inc 2 course meal.
o 3rd Cabaret, Fri 14/04/06, 8pm @ Amarillo Bistro Bar/Brockville
Lounge. £25, inc 2 course meal.
o 4th Cabaret, Fri 05/05/06, 8pm @ Amarillo Bistro Bar/Brockville
Lounge. £25, inc 2 course meal.
TWO competitions you may have missed that were run by both the
Bank of Scotland and the Sun newspaper allowed a fan to "Meet
the Captains" at a special photoshoot at the end of last
year. The Bank of Scotland version was open to employees and received
a good response, but interestingly the Sun received NO applications
from Falkirk fans!
The Trust are grateful to the Bank of Scotland for the receipt
of even more SPL donations for raffle/auction at our forthcoming
fundraising events. Discussions are in their infancy re placing
some items on our site on an online auction basis allowing other
club's supporters to bid.
There have still been difficulties in co-ordinating of signing
the current squad of players to the BairnsTrust but a further
attempt is being arranged.
The CLUB's AGM is now arranged for Monday 27/02/06 and shareholders
will have now been notified. Those Trust members whose sharesave
matured in the past year should be included in the club's mailing.
Please respond if this is not the case and we will investigate
on your behalf.
Our own AGM will coincide with the March monthly meeting on Monday
20/03/06.
Finally, if you have any topics or articles you wish to be included
in future BairnsTrust Electronic Newsletters, please respond by
your preferred contact method below.
Look forward to seeing you at the monthly meeting where there
will be a chance to win a prize for attendees!
