This is a special edition of the electronic update of BairnsTrust activities.
Quiz Night Monday 12th February 2007, 7.00 p.m. at Castings Community Club, Etna Road, Falkirk
The latest BairnsTrust Community Event takes the form of a Quiz, Raffle and Auction Night to raise funds for the Trust.
Numbers are to be restricted to about 80, consisting of 20 teams x 4 members x £2.50 per participant/£10 per team.
Just as the last Quiz night, there has been a request to the club to supply a few current players who will be competing against you!
A prize fund of £100 is again available to the winning team!
The format will be hosted by Central FM DJ and Falkirk FC's Matchday Stadium Announcer; Dave McIntosh.
The questions will be wide ranging and cover numerous topics but in a fairly structured manner of 10 rounds of 10 questions. Questions will relate to general football, with the odd Falkirk FC poser! This is to allow the asking of as many questions as possible within the time available, with all age groups and standard of quiz participant being accommodated.
If any Trust member would like to attend, please email bairnstrust@hotmail.co.uk or purchase your tickets online from our website, on a first come first served basis and we will collate the numbers.
Individuals can be catered for by being placed within other incomplete teams.
Please note that "professional quiz teams" will not be permitted.

Items can be gifted to any BairnsTrust Committee member or at the BairnsTrust stall on the Concourse on match days.

We have received the following appeal ...
I am writing to enquire if any fellow BairnsTrust Members could possibly help. Currently work for Shelter the Homelessness Charity based in South Lanarkshire. Our project team are working with a number of young boys who through no fault of their own are currently homeless and living with their parents in temporary accommodation. As a consequence of this they have very little personal belongings. They are like most young kids, obsessed by football but find it difficult because of their current situation to keep up with things in the football world. It is with this in mind I ask if any Trust Members would be willing to donate any old football magazines from the last year that we could pass on to these kids, eg. Shoot, Match Weekly, English/Scottish Club Magazines, Rangers News, Celtic View, Hearts Weekly ... and the like would be ideal.
Would appreciate any assistance offered and any documents could be handed into the BairnsTrust stall located on the concourse in the Main Stand at home games for uplift.
Look forward to seeing you at the next monthly meeting where there will be a chance to win a prize for attendees!
Thanks.
