BairnsTrust Temporary Stand Presence
Apologies to members expecting to see a new BairnsTrust stall on the south side of the main stand concourse over the last couple of months. Unfortunately this has been postponed until next season because of a lack of time due to the club making preparations for the cup final.
BairnsTrust will however have a presence over at the temporary stand for the first time. Members will be on hand to distribute goodie bags to children who attend the match on Saturday versus St. Mirren. This will include excess programme bundles and videos and fans will be able to find out information about the Trust, ask any questions and sign up for the new season!
Any volunteers willing to help out on a matchday, please make yourself known at the original BairnsTrust stall from 2pm onwards or get in touch via your preferred contact method.
Latest additions to the stall include the last few Falkirk away games and the recent Scotland B v Northern Ireland B International at Broadwood that includes S Arfield and D Barr.
Hot News - BairnsTrust have acquired a stock of the original 1997 Cup Final CD single and all funds will go to local charities the Trust support. Copies now at the stall.
We are hoping to also have the new Falkirk Scottish Cup Final CD that will be on sale from Tuesday 19th May 2009.
Track 1: 'Going for Glory'
Track 2: 'Better Meddle Wi The De'il'

Cup Final Fever Comes to the Mall Howgate
As Falkirk Football Club prepares to take part in its first Scottish Cup Final in 12 years, The Mall Howgate is giving the town’s residents the chance to send their team goodwill wishes - by signing a huge good luck card!
The 5 ft high by 4 ft wide card will be situated at the Ask Me Point (AMP) from Monday, May 18th 2009.
All fans and well-wishers have to do to add their good luck message is pick up a special label from the AMP on which they can pen their note of encouragement that will then be stuck into the card.
It is hoped hundreds of people will add their name to the card which will be taken to Falkirk Stadium prior to the match at Hampden on Saturday, May 30th 2009 to allow the players to read all the messages.
Margaret Foy, Marketing Manager, The Mall Howgate said: “Everyone in the town, both avid fans and those who don’t pay too much attention to football, are extremely proud of the team for reaching the final of the Homecoming Scottish Cup. There’s already a buzz around the centre with people trying to predict the outcome! We hope lots of locals will write a note of good luck to the team who will, fingers crossed, bring the cup back to Falkirk for the first time in 52 years.”
As well as giving shoppers the chance to wish the players well, Falkirk Football Club will also be in the centre selling memorabilia – from pens to cups, football strips to baseball caps – from Monday, May 18th 2009 until Friday, May 29th 2009
The Retail Merchandising Unit will be adorned with FFC goodies which could become collector’s items if the boys pick up the silverware.
There will also be a special Homecoming Scottish Cup Final exhibition charting the Bairns’ journey to Hampden. The exhibition will feature photographs and editorial coverage so shoppers can re-live the glory of the cup run.
While retailers, including Marks & Spencer, will be making an extra special effort to support the team by dressing their windows to wish them good luck.
