Quiz Night 2009
The BairnsTrust annual football quiz was held last Monday on 12th October 2009 in the Amarillo bar at the Stadium. There was a healthy turnout of 15 teams including representatives from our neighbours at the Shire Trust, all battling to win the most prestigious trophy in Scottish Football. The quiz was split into 8 rounds of 10 questions with questions ranging from "Who is Falkirk's all time goal scorer?" to "Which Scottish league ground has the lowest capacity?"
A successful night was eventually won by defending champions Stella's Allstar's. This is the third year in a row the team have won the trophy so Congratulations!! Many thanks to all who attended and bought raffle tickets.
Watch out for news of the General Knowledge quiz planned to be held in November. More details to follow soon...

Henry McLeish Visit
Former first minister Henry McLeish is currently undertaking a review of Scottish Football and looking at ways to improve our game. He will not have enough time to visit every club in Scotland but through contacts with fans director and BairnsTrust vice-chairman Brian Guthrie, Mr McLeish chose Falkirk as one of the model clubs to visit. After visiting Falkirk Football club during the day and touring the training facilities at Stirling University, he attended the fans forum in the evening.
BairnsTrust's Committee members, Steven Jackson, Brian Guthrie, and Tom Paterson attended the forum on the future of Scottish football on the evening of Monday 28th September along with representatives from Falkirk Football Club and around 200 other delegates. The top table consisted of Gordon Smith, chief executive of the SFA; David Longmuir, chief executive of SFL; Ian Blair, chief executive of the SPL; James Proctor, development manager of Supporters Direct; Henry Mcleish, who is conducting a review of Scottish Football; Fraser Wishart of the Scottish PFA; and Jim Spence, who chaired the meeting.
