The West Stand Inside Out
As we approach the end of January 2004 no one can fail to be impressed
with the sight of the new main stand down at Westfield. Progress
for completion of the main stand is still very much on target and
the club hope to be moving their offices into our new home in around
10 weeks time.
The stand itself is made up of four levels and the first draft
of the plans that we have seen indicates that accommodation is split
as follows: -
Ground Level: - Falkirk FC offices,
Sports Bar incorporating museum, home and away dressing rooms, referee
and assistants facilities, kitchen facilities, five a side football
changing facilities and some small office accommodation for let.
Level One: - Split equally between
a health and fitness centre and an area for future fit out-possibly
a restaurant/function suite.
Level Two: - This is the level that
we shall access the seating from and as such has the normal retail
outlets for let and plenty toilet facilities! The area set aside
for retail outlets is flexible
Level Three: - The conference and
hospitality suites are incorporated on this level. They are made
up of flexible partitioned areas, which will allow the club to cater
for small groups as well as large parties. It will also allow flexibility
to rent out as conference facilities throughout the week and close
season. There are also two potential business units for let on this
level.
As well as five staircases, the building also has lifts available.
Sales of commemorative bricks are still going well and all monies
raised go to FALKIRK FC. The wall will be on the approach walkway
to the main entrance of the stadium. There will be a normal wall
of 3 feet before the commemorative bricks start!
