Westfield
Updates :: 01 March 2004
With the main stand now nearing
completion, daily changes have become less obvious when passing
by Westfield. However things are still progressing very much according
to plan.
The latest news, as announced late last week on
the club’s website, was the name of the first six hospitality
suites. As reported, these are called the Brockville Lounge, the
Captains Lounge, the Internationalists Lounge, the 1957 Suite, the
Kevin McAllister Suite and the Alex Parker Suite. Despite reports
to the contrary in this weekends Sunday Papers the stand has NOT
been named after Crunchie!
The building work is on target to meet the revised
schedule and the boxes are currently being fitted out.
The under soil heating will be installed shortly
and it is zoned meaning that if only one area of the pitch is affected
by frost heat can be turned on in that area only making it cost
effective.
The wall lining the main entrance to the Stadium
and consisting of the sponsored bricks has been designed and brick
sales continue to do well-its not too late to secure yours if you
haven’t already done so!
On the ‘boring but essential’ side
of things, both the Police Plan and the Traffic Plan are complete.
In addition, there has been healthy interest from prospective tenants
for the areas of the main stand available for lease.
BairnsTrust will be conducting tours of the new
stand in conjunction with the club once the relevant safety certificates
are received-keep checking back for more news on this.
Letters are to be issued to existing season ticket
holders today to gauge the interest in advance season ticket sales.
This will give the opportunity to current season ticket holders
to reserve their season ticket for Westfield on payment of a £25
deposit although at present seating plans and reservation of specific
seats are not available.
